Food security skills training
eThembeni (CMD Usizo Aids Trust) is running women empowerment programs in the municipalities of, uKhahlamba, Mnambithi, Ndaka and Msinga. The program, with one full time staff member and 7 facilitators, impacts on the lives of 1200 rural unemployed women who wish to better their circumstances at home. The program is linked to Umazisize (To help yourself). Foundations for Farming Training is the partner used to address the food security crisis in rural communities. Initial training will be conducted at the camp site, but implementation will be done in community gardens within the community. The successes here must serve as a role model and inspiration to the women.
